BACK  AND   FORTH

 
Getting on the bus at 6:30 AM
and getting on the bus at 4:00 PM
Monday to Friday for 34 years now….
 
Getting up a few times every night
now that I’m over 80 years of age ….
 
Getting coffee and water and orders
every day at the Cozy Corner Diner
for 17 years now – the kids are gone ….
 
Birds in the spring – birds in the fall,
retirees south and north every year ….
 
Taking care of kid’s kids and then
parents – with not enough time in
between for oneself – because
spouses sometimes get sick too ….
 
Life – in between the back and forth
we better take care of ourselves as
well as let God take care of us on
this side of the grave as well ….
