RECKONINGS

Many deny there is a hell,

sometimes heaven as well.

Many say that’s an after I die worry,

so why worry about that now?

Many deny consequences,

afterwards and reckonings.

They deny reckonings could  be just

10 yards away from the present moment.

Many deny that reckonings are

creeping into our afterthoughts

after every bite we take from the tree

of good and evil, life or death.
