JEALOUSY  AND  ENVY

We mix up those two words,

those  two feelings, all the time.

Jealousy: the fear of losing what I have.

Envy: wanting what you have and I don’t.

I feel jealously when you enter the room

and you want to win the trophy that is mine.

I feel envy when you win the prize or get

the trophy that I expected but you got.
