RAIN BLESSING

Lord, when it rains,

we thank you.

Lord, when it snows,

we thank you.

Now, here is where

thanks moves to wants.

When it is dry and dusty,

when we have hard dry,

dusty earth, we want rain.

We want water. We want

the opening of the sky

and the downpour of rain.

Rain, rain, pour, pour,

drench our earth with

puddles and puddles

of sweet downpour of

rain, rain, rain, O Lord.
