A Carmelite
always listening for knocks on the door
to move further into The Interior Castle.

A Carmelite
always knowing that in The Dark Night of the Soul
there is always The Living Flame of Love.

A Carmelite
always knowing that God is the one who moves us
from nothing to the all (“nada y todo”).

A Carmelite
always knowing Christ is inviting us
to make The Ascent of Mount Carmel.

A Carmelite
always listening to The Spiritual Canticle
that is our prayer – that is us.

A Carmelite
always knowing Jesus is the Little Way
when moving in The Way of Perfection.

A Carmelite
always knowing God sends the rain
when it’s difficult to water the Garden of the Soul.
