LISTENING  AND  WONDERING  

Listening is hard work.
It involves watching –
– and wondering.
 
It involves questions –
lots of questions – some spoken -
trying to untie the knots.
 
It involves saying,
“I really don’t know
what’s going on here.
 
It means backtracking and getting
to the back stories and asking,
“How long has this been going on?”
 
Then there is time – the long
waiting to find out how close
have I come to reality?
