FADING  AWAY

 
Is there a Law – one with a name
attached to it, like Decimo’s Law –
that goes like this: “Everything fades.”
 
Signs on red brick walls, paint on cars,
beauty on skin, macadam on roads,
eyes in seeing, memory in brains ….
 
“Everything fades….”  Hopefully the
skeptic, the lover in us, the dreamer
in us, will scream: “No way! I disagree.”
