THEY ARE RIGHT THERE

The shapes that surround us ….

Did you ever notice how interesting they are?

They are ….

Straight,  crooked, bent, broken,

round, twisting, up, down, different ….

They are ….

The round of the sun in the morning ocean

and the fluorescent slices  of the moon at night.

They are ….

A baby face in a blanket, a teenage acne face,

a scared stock market broker, a wrinkled widow ….

They are ….

Coconuts, cashews, strawberries, potatoes,

chocolates, pies, cakes, pizza, loaves of bread ….

They are ….

Words that come at us in the course of a day:

compliments, curses, Hello’s and Goodbye’s ….

They are ….
