SAYING  SOMETHING

Sometimes someone says something but

I kept walking – not to dis the talker – but

to walk to where I was in a hurry to get to.

But every time I stopped and went back

and said, “Wait a minute! What did you

just say?” it was well worth the going back.

Sometimes I surprise them and they say,

“What?” – but sometimes they say

something that changes everything.
