SEPTEMBER WIND
You have to walk outside
to know what the weather
is like - come September.
Sometimes some mornings,
the wind has a tinge of ice on its
edges; sometimes it’s still summer.
Sometimes kites are in sight;
sometimes kids blow bubbles won’t fly.
They just plop onto the sidewalk.
Sometimes some of this makes
no sense or difference. Kids are
back to school and adults to work.
