CLAPPING  PRAYER

Clapping happens in churches -

yes, even Catholic churches,

and not just for the big shots -

but sometimes spontaneously

for a singer - whose song touches

the inner strings of everyone’s

heart - or for little fourth graders

acting out a gospel parable and

yes, for God - clapping for God.

Does God ever take a bow? Hey,

after all, some days are beautiful

and beautiful things surprise us.
