THE BELL
The bell sounds from the church
tower - there in the valley - telling
all - there has been a death - and
the old people on the porches hear
the warning and say a prayer - and
the young people hear nothing.
They're dead. They haven't risen yet.
They don’t have the imagination - the
feeling - the inner scream for God yet.
