GRAND CONNECTIONS

We are the voice and the gestures.

of our grandparents - and who knows

how much and how far back we go?

Is that why parents and grandparents

cry when they see their children and

grandchildren on stage or field?

We're mimics and repetitions of the past.

We are roots way back and way deep

in the earth around us - back and back,

down and down, deep, deep within.
