BRAIN WAVES

I just took
a long, long walk
down an empty beach
along miles and miles
of silent sand
as thoughts and memories
came rolling in and out
like the waves
along that beach.

Some were soft.
Some were loud
crashing waves
against the shore of my life.
I just took
