OPENING DOORS
We open a lot of doors each day.
Maybe we should count them.
Maybe we should pause. We don’t.
We just open a door - front, back -
work, restaurant - church or store -
and then comes the surprise -
the other isn’t there or sometimes
the other is there, but they are
a closed door. Nobody’s home.
