"In Marian piety,
the role of the Trinity
and of Christ
should clearly be seen
as essential and intrinsic.

And this
because Christian worship
is essentially worship of the Father,
the Son and the Holy Spirit,
or as the liturgy says,
worship of the Father
through the Son
in the Holy Spirit.

In the case of Mary, 

everything is related to Christ
and everything depends on him.

It was because of the part 

she was to play
in the life of Christ
that the Father
chose her from all eternity
as the mother full of grace
and adorned her
with gifts of the Spirit
granted to no other."
