TATTOOS

Those of us without tattoos
sometimes think it’s strange,
all these tattoos. Yet, come
to think about it, it makes life
interesting – bridesmaid's backs

at weddings - the old and the young
at the beach. It sure gives
folks something to talk about –
something to be surprised about,
and it’s helping some folks
make a living. After all
it’s only skin deep – but what
about those of us with tattoos
on our souls – now those
can be interesting – some
of those can be outrageous
hurts – inked onto our very
being – invisible to everyone
but ourselves, everyday?
