MONARCH


The monarch butterfly
with Tiffany stained glass wings,
works for his supper -
a king oblivious to others.
His term limit is months,
so he’s not concerned about polls
or public opinion.
He just does what butterflies do -
just worried about the next generation.
Now that’s the kind of king I’d vote for.
