Thought for the Day

“All children wear the sign: ‘I want to be important now.’  Many of our juvenile delinquency problems arise because nobody reads the sign.”’

Dan Pursuit:
co-author of
several books
on delinquency.

 BOOKSHELF

I have this bookshelf
somewhere there in
the left corner of my
brain – with some 20
or so books that have
shaped my life – but
I have to remember
what Robert Coles
said Anna Freud said,
“You have to re-read
those books that are you.”

Thought for the Day

“I was six when I saw that everything was God, and my hair stood up, and all,” Teddy said.  “It was on a Sunday, I remember.  My sister was only a tiny child then, and she was drinking her milk, and all of a sudden I saw that she was God and the milk was God.  I mean, all she was doing was pouring God into God, if you know what I mean.”

PANDRINKIT

Been drinking too much
during this pandemic.
Maybe this drink – just
one more – will help drug
me – dull me – drowse me -
from the relentless angst
that is like an army of itchy
ants crawling inside of me
usually into the dark night.
