Thought for today:

“Gossip is news
running ahead of itself
in a red satin dress.”

Thought for today:

"A kind word
never broke anyone's mouth.
But many times
a man's mouth
has broken his nose.

A TRIP THROUGH IRELAND

Trips and dips - down dirt roads -
embraced  - by low lying stone walls -
sheep and cows and rugs - of green grass -
covering - dark brown - fertile earth -
a cart - a car - a truck - every now and then -
and big solid strong rocks - standing there -
in the middle of a field - sacraments of God.
It’s a silent St. Patrick’s Day Parade -
in the middle of nowhere Ireland - that is - till -
a dozen freckled faced kids start waving -
and oh yes three have Irish red hair - and
two are dancing in front of - a white cottage

with a black wooden door - and a barking dog..

Thought for today:

MARCH

Here in the north - March is often
an enigmatic month - cold, warmth,
snow, rain, a weather guessing game.
Then there's March Madness, Spring Training, Spring and the Ides of March.
March begins as a dark barren tree month.
March has Purple Lent - with lawns
that will soon be green - with  buds
and crocuses - signaling new life.
Resurrection is about to arrive.
The winter of death never wins.
Christ is with us all days.

Thought for today:

HIGHER  MATH

The Life Cycle: Learning how to add,
more toys, candy, experiences,
education  friends, geography.
Next there is multiplying all that
till middle age -  then discovering
life also calls for subtraction -
learning how to let go.
Then there is a reality called,
“division”.  Sorry: it too happens.
It's part of every family and every life.
