TAKE GOOD CARE

OF MY DARLING DAUGHTER

Father-Daughter relationships

are so, so different than mother-son

or mother-daughter or father-son

relationships– in fact, all 4 are an

experience to take a good look at.

To walk down the aisle at a daughter’s

wedding,  it’s a gift every father

cherishes for the rest of his life.

Warning to son-in-laws: cherish

my daughter more than I do! Take

good care of my darling daughter.

IT  RAINED

It rained and too many people

complained. Some people don’t

take the time to think about

what they are saying.

Let it rain. Let it rain. Let it rain.

Or let the sun or shadows touch

my back porch and I love looking

at the sun setting in the west.

Maybe it will rain tomorrow.

Maybe the sun will shine.

Or maybe it will do both.

Let it be. Let it be. Let it be.

SCULPTURING

We are.

Whether we know it or not, we are

forever sculpting each other with

our words – with our looks – with

our way of being with each other.

We are.

Holding a door, allowing another

to get ahead of us to get three

sips of water or to place our order

at a restaurant – all is sculpturing.

We are.

The bad news is that this happens

with bad stuff – like addictions.

The good news is that this happens

with good stuff  like compliments and love.

We are.

WHAT  WOULD  IT  TAKE?

What would it take to get a standing ovation?

What would it be like to get one – a “Yes!” vote?

Do we all have a gift – a talent – an ability

that could take the house down or do we

have to practice, practice, practice?

Does every person we go by, sit next to

on the train or plane deserve recognition

for their contributions to life on this planet?

People claim to be pro life – yet they yawn,

not listen, and pick up the paper when another

walks onto the stage called “Life!” No! No! No!

Don’t fail to clap for the other. Yes! Yes! Yes!
