CAN’T  ESCAPE

We can’t escape the hurts
in our heart – even if we
try to hide them. They show
up in our eyes and tears on
our cheek – often sneaking
in when we least expect them.

We can’t run away from home
even if we pack a suitcase and
head to some place 1,000 miles
away. Home is in always in our
heart – always in our thoughts -
and always in our question marks.

DOOR

Sometimes a door has just one message:
“Not wanted! Not welcome! Not you!”

Closed!

Sometimes a door has just one message:
Welcome! Just knock or ring the bell.

Open!

Come in. Come on home. We missed you.
We have a million sweet memories of you.

More!

BADLY  TOLD  JOKE

Sometimes I feel like a badly told joke.

I just want to get out of here.

I tried to be funny.

I forgot one detail….

I knew it as I got to the punch line.

I blew it.

And your face laughed at me – again.

And again ….
