 LOOKING  AROUND

I saw you come in the front door,
look around, then walk to the back,
look around, check the back yard,
look around, and then leave by
the front door I saw you come in.

I’ve often wondered about you through
the years.  Did you ever find who or
what you were looking for or are
you still walking in and out of houses
and are you sill looking around?

REWRITING  THE  RULES

Most of our rules and regulations are
from someone and somewhere else.

Then as we get older we climb the
mountain and come up with and then
come down with our own two or three
commandments – to define our life.

Some go up and then come down
without God – only to find out they
have to go up again to find God –
otherwise they only have half a life.

REJECTED

 Most are rejected.

We  drive away from the car dealer
with just one car  - all the rest watch
with envy – and hope – as the next
customer comes in the door.

Most are rejected.

We take one donut and one cup of
coffee as we walk through the train
station – heading for work and some
donuts sit there all day.

Most are selected.

We talk to one person about
last night’s game. There are other
people in the room who have
lots of other interests.

Most or our ideas are rejected.

Thought for Today

“Religion: A process of turning your skull into a tabernacle, not of going up to Jerusalem once a year.”

COMPARISON

Comparison is a tricky gift.
Be careful with it – because
it’s been used by Pharisees
and Publicans in both temple
and market place. And Jesus ….

Jesus used comparisons.

Warning: there is something
in us that causes us to compare
ourselves to others – as a way
to avoid being the wheat field
and vineyard we are called to be.

Thought for Today
