Thought   for   Today

“An  education isn’t how much you have committed to memory, or even how much you  know. It’s being able to differentiate between what you do know and what you don’t.”

HONESTLY

“Honestly,….”

Why do we say that?

Why do we sometimes add that?

Is it because of emphasis,
or because sometimes
we know - really down deep -
we haven’t paused enough to ponder,
“What is the truth here?”

Honestly?

Didn’t someone famous say,
“And the truth will set you free”?

Honesty!

And several people add
comments like,
“But first it will hurt,”
or “make us miserable,”
or "cost us".

Honestly.

BLADE  OF  GRASS

Lord, if I were a blade of grass,
I hope I’d  like the color green.
If I were a blade of grass, I hope
I’d stand tall, shine, enjoy both
the night and the day, enjoy the
rain, the snow, the sun and the
feet of those who step on me -
especially kids either with a kite
or tossing a Frisbee or having a
catch with their dad – before I die
getting a crew cut on a summer evening.
