9 POUNDS 12 OUNCES

Every night seeing that number –
of how many have died till now
from this coronavirus 19, it was
great today to get a new number:
9 pounds, 12 ounces, Max – boy.
Hurry with the pictures!

Thought  for  Today

“Everyone’s waiting for that period in life when they have lots of free time, lots of energy, and no distractions.  That’s called death.  You’ve got to find a way of working in a crowded life with other priorities and constant distraction.”

NIGHT  PRAYER

Lord of long days,
of wrong days and right days,
good days and bad days.

Lord of tomorrow, today and let
me throw in yesterday as well.

I pause now at the end of this day
to say a, “Thanks!” and a “Sorry!”

I need a good sleep  to do
another one of these tomorrow.

Enough…. Enough.

At the end of day,
I know I was never enough….

But that’s your job, O Lord.
That’s your job, O Lord.

Be our eternal enough.
Be our eternal enough.

Amen. Amen.

MORNING   PRAYER

Do you see each day as a blessing?

Do you have the habit

of looking out your morning window?

Do you smile when you see

the scattering rays of light
that landed on green leaves
and brown branches
on your favorite tree -
when you spot a black cat
on a big blue plastic garbage can
watching the birds
and one more sunrise.

Or do you almost have to have died

before you pinch yourself
for the gift of one more day of life -
to live it to the full.

Thank you God

for this new day
of life and love.

Surprise me God.

Surprise me God today with great delight

I promise you

I'll be waiting;
I'll be watching
like that cat.

Thank You, God. Thank You.

CORONAVIRUS  19

This  coronavirus is a bummer.

People are funny.

A doctor wearing a face mask
said in a TV interview,
“My dad retired and sat down
in a Lazy Boy chair for 10 years
and never left it. Now he’s going
outside and won’t come in.”

This  coronavirus is a bummer.

People are funny.

Then the doctor said, “Hey
if you see my dad walking
around town, tell him to get
home and to take off his
Archie Bunker mask – and
and put on a smile mask.

People are funny.

This  coronavirus is a bummer.
