SMOTHERED
Sitting in church after Mass -
watching the altar server
putting out the candles….
No air …. Smothered….
The candle goes out ….
She felt that way in
her marriage at times ….
Then she spotted light
coming through the
stained glass windows.
She made the sign of the cross -
got up - walked outside - feeling
free - breathing in the fresh air.
