THE MUSIC STORE
Guitars, drums, violins, flutes,
trumpets, a tuba, keyboards,
a whole shelf of harmonicas,
saxophones, synthesizers,
sheets and sheets of music, but
all we were silent - as I walked
into the Music Store - just to
peek in on what was inside.
Oh no! Uh oh! I
could hear
every instrument screaming,
“Look at me!” “Check me out.”
“Buy me.” “Learn me” “Play me.”
Sorry! I have a tin ear and have no
feel for music - but I did try the
trombone and lasted at it for
2 weeks when I was in high school.
Then when I left the music store,
I saw a homeless man just sitting
there and I heard him screaming
silently, “Understand
me!”
