BOOKS
Some get rejected in a split second.
Some get the once over - a hesitation.
Some are shuffled like a deck of cards.
Some never leave the shelf.
Some books are judged by their cover.
Some get opened. Some become us -
the page turner -
the chapter gulped.
Some are bought and brought home.
Some make the next cut. They are read.
Some gather dust and then brought
in a shopping bag for a book drive.
Read me. Read me. Read me.
