BROKEN
“Uh oh!”
A mom hears her 3 year old
blurt out from the other room.
“Uh oh!”
she says as she heads from the
kitchen to the living room.
Her darling daughter is standing there
about to cry -
with a doll’s leg in one hand
and the rest of the doll in her other hand.
How old are we when we finally learn
how to handle the broken: toy, dish,
parent, relationship, marriage, child?
When do we learn what’s the right word,
glue, trick, attitude, skill - to know how to
fix a broken expectation or broken heart?
