THE RECKONING
Some deny there is a hell;
some deny heaven as well.
Some say I’ll find out when I die,
so why worry about it - here and now.
Some deny consequences;
some deny reckonings;
some refuse to see what’s always
sitting there - just 10 yards away.
Some deny there is an aftertaste -
after every bite we take -
from the tree of good or evil -
from the tree of life or death.
