ROAD SIGNS
Road signs, mile markers, numbers,
words, letters, 29 A - B
and sometimes C.
How far, how many kilometers or miles
to the place where we really want to be.
Arrows, lots of arrows, yield, speed limits,
work ahead, slow down, I read the signs,
but it’s those inner signs that I’m not seeing,
not noticing, and there are no tickets for that.
