MOTIVE?
I used to think lust and greed
were the main motives - but now
I’m thinking - the main motives
are comfort and convenience.
Then there is laziness: of body, of mind -
not thinking and not soul searching.
Am I saying this because I’m older - or
because I want you to think, I’m wiser?
Ooops! And I sense in time I’ll realize
that pride - that sneaky sin - is the main
sin - and the main motive - this wanting
to feel and think I'm better than you.
Oooooooh!
