LOSING ONE'S SOUL
Poem for Today - January 14, 2014
MAN OVERBOARD
When they call out
“Man overboard!”
The ocean liner, big as a house
Suddenly stops
And the man
is fished out with ropes.
But when
a man’s soul is overboard
When he is drowning
in horror
and despair
They enter his own house
Does not stop
but sails on.”
