There was film a few years ago called "Philomena" that told a similar story .
My comment is "why " did the Catholic Church not realize how awful that was ? I accept that society in the 40s and 50s looked at unwed mothers in a negative light . I would have hoped the "nuns" would have been more compassionate .
What a sin on the nuns and priests who participated in those atrocities on the mothers and babies !
